committees
If you are interested in serving on a NODA committee or learning more details about them, please contact President@nodarider.org or the Chair person listed below.
- Advertising/Classifieds - This committee is responsible for recruiting and managing NODA Advertisers. It is also responsible for receiving and publishing classified ads. Works closely with the newsletter committee and the website committee.
- Awards - This committee is responsible for coordination, collection and processing of annual awards applications, determination of trophies and special awards, and coordination with the banquet committee for presentation of awards.
- Banquet - This committee plans and runs the annual awards banquet for our members. Typically held in the month of November. Works closely with the awards committee. Contact our Chair at banquet@nodarider.org if you are interested in serving on this committee.
- Education - This committee plans, coordinates and runs education events for our GMO which may include, clinics, ride-a-tests, lectures and more. Other committees may also coordinate educational activities keeping the main education committee informed. Contact our Chair at education@nodarider.org if you are interested in serving on this committee.
- External Relations - This committee is responsible for all external relationships with outside entities including, but not limited to: other GMO's, USEF/USEF, Region 2
- Fundraising - This committee plans and executes fundraising. Currently this committee does not have a chair person.
- Historian - This committee stores and maintains historical information. Works closely will all other committees to gather needed/appropriate information.
- Membership - This committee owns and maintains the club's membership list, is the roster contact with USDF, manages membership fees and encourages membership.
- Newsletter - This committee coordinates, edits and distributes the NODA News. Works closely with the advertising/classifieds committee and the website/social media committee. Contact our Chair at mosie-editor@nodarider.org if you are interested in serving on this committee.
- Nominating Committee - The Parliamentarian chairs the Nominating Committee which is needed every other year when preparing for elections. This committee consists of the Chair, one member of the Board of Directors, and one member of the association at large.
- Recognized Show (RS) - This committee plans and runs the annual recognized shows. Contact our Chair at rs-chair@nodarider.org if you are interested in serving on this committee.
- Schooling Shows - This committee meets once or twice a year to review the past season and to give recommendations for changes and enhancements to the schooling show program for the future. Contact our Chair at schoolingshow@nodarider.org if you are interested in serving on this committee.
- Website/Social Media - This committee maintains the website working closely will all other committees. Members of this committee may also be an admin on the Facebook page so that they can do postings.
